Today was Edward's 2 month checkup. This is the first one where he gets shots, so I stayed home to provide moral support to Kasey. :) (yes, I said Kasey. Edward handled the shots pretty well actually, and Kasey has needle issues.)
Everything checked out, and they asked us far more questions than we asked them. Does he have a carseat, is it used rear facing, does he sleep on his back, does he interact with us, does he move his head, do we read to him, does he cry other than when he needs something, how is he sleeping, how many wet and soiled diapers . . . I'm sure I missed a few of them. Our doctor had a medical student, who asked most of the questions. Oh, and as for the shots, he got 3 of them, and gets another 3 in 2 months.
(As an aside, for any Missouri readers, the med student came from KCOM. I asked him if he was getting his DO or MD, and when he said DO, I mentioned I was from Kirksville, and he told us that's where he went to school. It was a fun side discussion, and really seemed to relax the student. For any of you not from Missouri, Kirksville is where I grew up, and KCOM is Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.)
His percentages went up though! He weighed in at 14 pounds 12 ounces, which we are told is the 90 percentile. Length is 24 inches, and at 75 percent. He's totally healthy, and he doesn't have to see the doctor again until he hits 4 months.
No surprise to anyone that he has outgrown a lot of his newborn and 0-3 month clothing. He's becoming a little chunk! (ok, so he's already one, but so cute). These pictures are from SuperBowl Sunday, and he seemed to really enjoy the football on TV.
This guy gets cuter every day, glad he likes football, now he needs a Cardinal jersey.
ReplyDeleteThis Sunday you can let him start learning to enjoy auto racing.

His daddy seems to think he needs to be a cowboys fan. I'm with you on the Cardinals though. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat new, I however agree with Pops and the DR is still under rating him he is easily over 150%, and getting cuter every day.
ReplyDeleteKim is right, that little guy is at least 150%,
ReplyDeleteand we have enough votes to keep in the Cardinals booster club (Kasey doesn't get a vote).
Pops
hehe yup.. no vote for me.. I will just make sure he knows a good Football team .. ie. Dallas.. and seeing as how I am home with him everyday will be pretty easy
ReplyDeleteHey, isn't that one of the outfits I got him? I think I recognize pooh!
ReplyDeleteYes actually, it is. I wondered if you would notice. :)
ReplyDeleteI go with the 150% and maybe more. He is so precious. Keep the pictures coming, because I won't get to cuddle him for awhile, I'm deep in snow up to my %%$&&&^ anyway, I'll be glad to see the green grass. For the Cardinals, I'll go for that, "the St Louis Cardinals" Little differant game, but it sounds good to me. You notice how smart he looks, wonder where he got that from. I love the picture he is smiling in.
