A few days ago, we got some great presents from Aunt Kim. She made, at my request, some puppets for Edward. She sent over two - Mortimer Mouse and Mickey Monkey. Let me tell you, it takes a lot of work for me not to call him Mickey Mouse. :)
Anyway, here are a few pictures to share.
Now that he has him, Edward doesn't know what to do with him. :)
Oh but it's sure fun to watch that mouse move!!
He's soooo soft to the touch. Edward really likes to feel Mortimer against his face.
What more do I need to say? I think this grin says it all, don't you?
As you can tell, Mortimer was a hit! He liked Mickey Monkey too, but I can't work two puppets and take pictures. :)
Thanks again Aunt Kim for a marvelous gift!!

Edward in Grandpa's Chair
This is going to be a picture that Edward will have to put up with me wanting to take regularly. This is Edward in his great-grandpa Ed's chair. This was grandpa's chair and now it's mine. It's tremendously comfortable and officially reclines, but the base isn't so stable right now when it reclines.
He doesn't quite fill it out yet, but given time he will.
And yes, he's in shorts. It's in the 70's here. :)
All these pictures just really wear a body out though. So sleepy that he just has to sleep, even when he's being moved around. He's such a sweety when he's sleeping. :)
Look at that dimple on his elbow. He's almost 17 pounds now. We're going to have to buy a bigger car seat soon. :)

Family photos
Kasey's nephew is having a baby (well his wife is, but you get the idea). We had a baby shower for Kim on Saturday, and I got some great photos of people holding Edward. After all, what's more fun at a baby shower than an actual baby??
This is Grandma Koon, Kasey's mom. She hasn't had a chance to hold him in a while, and she couldn't believe how big he's gotten!!
Here's Grandpa Koon (Kasey's Dad). Not sure what the two of them are looking at on the floor, but it must be interesting. :)
Here's Aunt Shelley and Edward. They had a great time looking out at the world together.
And last but not least is a great picture that Aunt Karen took of Edward and I. I am very happy to have these, since I'm usually the one behind the camera!

Here we have the mom to be from the shower. This would be Edward's cousin - Kim. Next up is her husband Josh, who is Kasey's nephew. We all find it amusing that Edward's cousin is about to have a child who will be only a few months younger than he is.
As my grandma taught me (I was listening to those geneology lessons!), Edward and Rosalyn (Which I'm sure I misspelled) will be first cousins once removed.

Edward's new blanket - coming soon!
Kasey's sister Kim is a major craft person, and she has made us more than one marvelous item for Edward. This is the latest in great presents that she's made, and this one is personalized just for Edward!!
E is for Edward Ribbon Blanket
Based on a product by "Taggies", which makes blankets that look very similar to what Kim made (but of course Kim's is better!!), this will be a great item for Edward to play with. He loves blankets, and he loves to grab onto stuff (well he's just starting, but he grabs everything his hands can snag already, so we're sure he loves it), so this will be much used and enjoyed at our house.
Thanks Kim!!

New toy . . . have to play!
OK, I finally have time to post the results of my Valentine's Day toy. We got a "Flip Video". It's a little camcorder that takes an hour of video. It's meant to store on the computer, but it will play on a TV without any problem. The funnest part is that it comes with software that will let me do all sorts of things, including taking "pictures" of my video! These are some Edward pictures from some Edward video that we took.
I will figure out how to post video to the blog sometime soon and then you'll have something to watch move!! :)
First day with the teething rings - he can hold onto them, but can't pick them up by himself. He's currently much more successful getting his fist into his mouth while holding the rings than getting the rings themselves into his mouth.
He does look adorable playing with them!

New pictures
At great-grandma's request, updated pictures!
He's sitting up well now, provided he had back support. It takes a few minutes to tip over now, as opposed to a few seconds. :)
Aren't we a sweetheart? :)
Andrew sure thinks so!
